Dramatic worsening of adult-onset X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy after head trauma.

Head trauma has been suspected to be a rare potential triggering agent in a few degenerative,e1 inflammatory1,e2 or metabolic2 diseases of the CNS. However, in most cases, the causal link between traumatic injury and subsequent brain pathology has been difficult to establish.
