Es efectivo el consejo de enfermería en el tratamiento de la obesidad en niños y adolescentes

Objectives: to assess the effectiveness of a programmed intervention in a nurses’s consultation for the treatment of primary obesity. Patients and methods: the 115 patients were assigned to two groups (non randomized): the intervention group (56) and the control group (59). A descriptive retrospective study was made, analyzing the epidemiological characteristics and the decrease of the body mass relative index (IMCR). There were not significant differences in the reduction of the IMCR in both groups. The most obese patients at the beginning presented a bigger percentage of slimming.
