Catch of Male Pink Bollworms in Traps Baited with Sex Attractane

1967
When different types of traps were used in field cages to capture male pink bollworms, Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders), traps equipped with a lighted blacklight lamp and baited with sex attractant were the most effective. A modified Frick trap suspended horizontally was as attractive as a similar trap suspended at 45°. Calcium cyanide was not repellent when it was used as a killing agent in traps baited with the sex attractant.
