Angabe der Messunsicherheit: ein reales Anwendungsbeispiel bei Feststoffuntersuchungen im Altlastenbereich

Legislation with respect to the investigation of soil and brown fields in Germany requires the report of analytical results including the uncertainty of measurement determined according to definite standards. Several theoretical approaches have been developed, but they are considered not suitable for practical work. The report of uncertainty data in practice tends to be avoided by all involved parties. The different reasons for this fact are complex and are discussed here. Deficits are shown. A simple and appropriate concept according to EURACHEM/CITAC is proposed by Hessisches Landesamt fur Umwelt und Geologie (HLUG). An example of the application of this approach is reported.
