Synthetic studies of novel 6-aza- and 6,7-diazaazuleno[1,2-a]azulenes☆

Abstract The title compounds were synthesized by thermal reaction of [(azulen-2- yl)imino] phosphorane and [(1-azaazulen-2-yl)imino]phosphorane with 2-bromtropone or by alternative methods.
