Small penis syndrome:Diagnosis and treatment

Small penis syndrome is a common status in which the patients have an abnormal small penis caused by hypogonadotropic hypogonadism,primary hypogonadism,androgen insensitivity,penile,pelvic and spinal trauma,Peyronien's disease or idiopathic factors.In addition,some adult males who have a clinically average sized penis but are troubled by the concerns that their penis are not large enough for sexual satisfaction.Recently,more and more patients seek for treatment.Endocrinotherapy is an alternative option in preadolescence for small penis syndrome.However,endocrinotherapy nonresponder and psychological counseling treatment nonresponder of postadolescence male often need surgical treatment.In this review,the clinical diagnosis and treatment of small penis syndrome were discussed.
