Analytical Study on the Effectiveness of Various Media Forms in Disseminating Public Service Advertising of COVID-19

It has become global challenge to combat terrifying pandemic COVID-19. According to World Health Organization (WHO), 216 countries/territories/areas have been caught in the trap of this disease and struggling hard to get rid of it (as reported till May 20, 2020). Today, every nation is on its toe in preventing lives or containing the spread of hazardous virus. In this scenario, Public Service Advertising (PSA), one of the effective tools in spreading awareness has been utilized abundantly to make the people alert and awakened. Indian Government is also exploring every possible medium to spread the awareness amongst masses through PSA. Apart from using conventional media, almost every platform of new media has also been approached and plethora of social advertisements have been produced to circulate through every media platform.  In such a grim situation, this research study is a descriptive one strives to explore various media platforms disseminating PSA. Moreover, viewpoint of general public has been sought to gauge the effectiveness of various media through pre drafted questionnaire.
