Self-suspension proppant for hydraulic fracturing and preparation method thereof

2015
The invention discloses a self-suspension proppant for hydraulic fracturing and a preparation method thereof. The self-suspension proppant comprises a core aggregate grain and a composite resin coating. The composite resin coating is composed of the following components in parts by weight: 1.5-4.5 parts of water-soluble resin, 0.8-2 parts of water-swellable polymer, 0.1-0.2 part of crosslinking agent and 0.05-0.1 part of dispersing agent. The mass ratio of the water-soluble resin to the core aggregate grain is (1.5-4.5):100. The self-suspension proppant has low apparent density, and can form a stable suspended state in clear water under the swelling action of the surface composite resin layer; and when the clear water is utilized to pump the self-suspension proppant to the stratum crack region, the self-suspension proppant is easier for fracturing construction, thereby simplifying the hydraulic fracturing operation and lowering the fracturing cost. The self characteristics can be utilized to enhance the viscosity of the fracturing fluid, thereby maintaining high flow conductivity and compression resistance at the crack and enhancing the production efficiency of the oil-gas well. The self-suspension proppant has favorable application prospects.
