Carbon Nanotube Research: Past and Future

In this paper, my experience of over 30 years in carbon materials and carbon nanotube (CNT) researches is reported. Moreover, an overview of the background of the development of CNT synthesis, the present status of CNT science and technology, and the future prospect of CNTs are described.
