Design of non-contact detection of a charged conductor and visualization system

For safety of workers near electric power equipment, it is necessary to check the state of an applied voltage on the conductor using an electroscope which is contact type. For convenient, we developed a radar system that can visualize the charge condition of the conductor by detecting the slight vibration of the conductor due to Coulomb force. We have confirmed its function in the laboratory.
