The Possibility of EU Transforming into Federal State

European Union is a regional international organization that is paid close attention by lots of scholars. Not only is its organization structure similar to that of sovereign state, but it exercises sovereign power in many realms that belonged to sovereign state before. EU is a special subject of international law because it is different from the general international organization and has some federal structure elements. In this article,analyzing the elements which affect the transforming from EU to federal state by means of the federation theory, and the federal structure elements in EU,the federation theory,the federal structure elements in EU,advantage and disadvantage of EU transforming into federation analyzing,the author thinks that EU has the possibility to be developed into federal state.
