Infection Status of HBV Among Employees of Public Places in ShunYi District of Beijing City during 2006—2008

[Objective]To understand the current status of HBV infection among employees of public places in ShunYi district of Beijing City during 2006 to 2008,and analyze the existed problem.[Methods]The Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) was applied to detect serum hepatitis B markers among employees of public places.[Results]A total of 67 068 male and 78 308 female were examined. The HBsAg positive rate among male (1.68%) was higher than that among female(1.18%),the difference was significant(χ2=67.69,P0.01); the maximum of HBsAg positive rate was in under 20-year-old age group (1.83%); the minimum was in above 50-year-old age group (0.92%). The HBsAg positive rate of employees in food industry (1.30%) was lower than that of employees in public places (2.40%),the difference was significant(χ2=115.54,P0.01); the HBsAg positive rate of local population (0.62%)was lower than that of the immigrant(1.63%),the difference was significant.[Conclusion]The detection of HBsAg should be attached importance among employees,the health supervision and management should be strengthened to block the spread of hepatitis B and to control the incidence.
