Drop collision with a hot, dry solid substrate: Heat transfer during nucleate boiling

Drop collision with a hot, dry solid substrate has been observed and characterized. For a nucleate boiling regime, a heat transfer between the drop and substrate is analyzed. The theoretical predictions for the drop contact time agree well with the experimental data.
