Acometimento da supra-renal associado à paracoccidioidomicose

Sixty patients with paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM) were studied, with special regard to adrenal involvement. Ten patients (16.7%) had adrenal ab-normalities associated with hypotension, a disseminated form of the disease and more than five years of evolution without treatment. No statistical association between adrenal anatomo-clinical alterations and radiological pulmonary abnormalities was observed. These data point out to the importance of systematic evaluation of adrenal function in patients with disseminated PCM.
