Research on Beidou Certification Test Method of Smart Phones

Under the guidance of China Beidou satellite navigation products inspection and certification alliance (CBICA), the smart phone Beidou certification is jointly planned and promoted by China Telecommunication Technology Labs (CTTL) of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and the certification organization of CBICA. Beidou certification certificate is an effective proof of the Beidou performance of the product, so the development of smart phone Beidou certification can promote the deep integration of information communication technology and Beidou satellite navigation technology. This paper introduces the standards, test methods, test system, test results and future work of smart phone Beidou certification. The test results show that Beidou can work independently for the tested smart phones, and the positioning performance is good, which can meet the basic needs of users and the technical requirements of Beidou certification test standards. However, some smart phones also have problems, such as the gap between the positioning performance of Beidou and GPS and some smart phone needs to be configured to support Beidou only. Large scale Beidou certification is urgently needed to ensure the development of Beidou satellite navigation industry and the improvement of the quality of Beidou smart phones, to promote Beidou to become the standard configuration of information and communication terminals and make Beidou system better serve China and the world.
