The method of manufacturing a surface acoustic wave device provided with the present invention provides for producing the first conductor pattern and the second conductor pattern having different thicknesses on the same piezoelectric substrate. By combining a plurality of steps and an etching step of forming a metal film, the surface acoustic wave device having a plurality of electrode thickness on the same piezoelectric substrate can be manufactured with high precision.
