Besides martensite and residual austenite, the material in the quenched layer on the surface of cold-rolling rolls also contains carbide phases, particularly a carbide of the cementite type. In this work, we have investigated the structure of the cementite-type carbide and the features of its distribution in the surface layer of cold-rolling rolls.
