Molecular Contrast Agents
2018
Molecular imaging can be broadly defined as the in-vivo visualization, quantification, and characterization of biological processes at the cellular and molecular levels. According to the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM), “molecular imaging techniques directly or indirectly monitor and record the spatiotemporal distribution of molecular or cellular processes for biochemical, biologic, diagnostic, or therapeutic applications.”
