Traffic control system and control method thereof for airport crossing

The invention discloses a traffic control system for airport crossing. The traffic control system comprises a controller, traffic signal lights and two detectors; the traffic signal lights and the two detectors are respectively in signal connection with the controller. Particularly, the traffic signal lights are mounted at the right boundary of a ground service lane along the vehicle driving direction, and align to the stop line on the ground service lane. The two detectors are mounted at the boundary of a taxiway, respectively disposed on two sides of the ground service lane and capable of detecting airplanes passing through the taxiway and transmitting the detected information to the controller. The vertical distance from the detector disposed on the same side of the ground service lane and the airplane taxiing direction to the center line of the ground service lane is not less than 50 meters, and the vertical distance from the detector disposed on the other side to the center line of the ground service lane is not less than 200 meters. The invention further discloses a control method of the traffic control system. The traffic control system and the control method thereof can guarantee traffic safety and improve level crossing running efficiency of the ground service lane and the taxiway.
