The values of the penetration depth of the microwave field for impregnating chromia-alumina lower paraffins dehydrogenation catalyst for the samples of different moisture, rate of heating and drying the catalyst necessary for technological calculations and process of drying the catalyst in a microwave field. The minimum depth of penetration of the electromagnetic energy (frequency of 2450 MHz) to the catalyst on the support which obtained thermochemical activation of aluminum trihydrate was 3 cm (for catalyst which impregnated solutions of active components), the maximum depth of 21 cm (for the catalyst after heat activation).
