The entire drive head for an electric lawnmower wireless has a removable upper housing which contains two spaced batteries and a lower casing which is mounted on the deck of the grass cutter. The top cover has a handle and at least one quick disconnect terminal that engages with a corresponding quick-disconnect terminal fixed to the lower casing. The lower housing includes an electric motor which is arranged between the two batteries when the upper casing is in place. Part of the electric motor is located below the deck to further reduce the overall height of the device. The sump is mounted to the bulkhead by a plurality of bolts which are arranged according to the configuration used for mounting the gasoline engine on an apron, so that the same aprons can be used for electric lawnmowers wireless mowers gasoline engine.
