A cooling apparatus for aluminum ingots, wherein the main body of the cooling apparatus is an aluminum ingot molding vehicle (1) which is in a crawler structure; a transmission chain (2) and a transmission shaft (3) are fixed on the aluminum ingot molding vehicle; the transmission chain is fixed at one side of the aluminum ingot molding vehicle and is integrally formed with the aluminum ingot molding vehicle; the transmission chain and the transmission shaft are connected to each other; a driven toothed disc (4) is mounted on the transmission shaft; a wheel axle (5) is disposed on the aluminum ingot molding vehicle; the other end of the wheel axle is fixedly connected with a multi-hole water pouring wheel (6); the wheel axle is connected to the driven toothed disc by means of a chain (7); a water baffle (8) is disposed on the transmission chain and the chain; a water collection groove (9) is disposed on the water baffle; the water collection groove is divided into two straight grooves which are parallel to each other, i.e. water collection groove A (9a) and water collection groove B (9b). The water baffle effectively prevents cooling water from flowing onto the transmission chain and the chain, thereby effectively avoiding corrosion of the transmission chain and the chain from and prolonging the service life of a device. The water collection groove collects the cooling water, and the recycling efficiency of the cooling water can be further improved by the two water collection grooves working together.
