The present invention belongs to the electronic equipment field and relates to a camera assembly device of a robot and a photographing and tracking method of the camera assembly device. According to the camera assembly device of the robot and the photographing and tracking method of the camera assembly device, the camera assembly device comprising a device body, a plurality of driving mechanisms, a laser ranging scanning sensor, a signal receiving/transmitting device and a power source device is constructed; external abnormalities are automatically indentified and sensed through voice control or the artificial intelligence of the robot; and the device body, carrying a camera, can move away from the main body of the robot, goes to a designated position, automatically moves and tracks suspicious persons and/or objects, captures enough information, and saves photographed video information or sends the video information to a host. With the camera assembly device of the robot and the photographing and tracking method of the camera assembly device provided by the technical schemes of the invention adopted, the device body, carrying the camera, can move away from the main body of the robot so as to better compete tracking and photographing in a narrow area, and automatically finds the main body of the robot after completing an operation task, and is automatically installed in an original location. The camera assembly device and the method are convenient to implement. With the camera assembly device and the method of the invention adopted, the photographing and tracking efficiency of the robot can be improved.
