A spacer section for insulating glass

The present invention relates to a profiled spacer for a spacing frame which is placed in the edge area of an insulation glazing assembly for forming an intermediate spacing between window panes. Said spacer comprises a chamber (10) for receiving hygroscopic materials and having at least one support leg (30, 36) resting on the inner surface of the pane at least on one side of said chamber, wherein said leg is connected to the chamber by a bridge section (32, 34). This profiled spacer is characterised in that its profiled body is made of a low thermal conductivity material capable of resilient and plastic deformation. The support leg at least is further connected by material connection to a reinforcing layer (40) capable of plastic deformation.
