A study on the population dynamics and the growth analysis of the Stipa breviflora

The population dynamics and growth analysis of Stipa breviflora were studied on the S.breviflora arid steppe in 1996,5-10 in Damao Banner, Inner Mongolia. The results were: the dunamics of population density is a typical lagged “Logistic”curve during growing season on the ungrazing condition. Howeuer, It is a typical “S”Curve on the grazing condition. It also showed that the relationship is significante between the relative growth rate of the population and the rhythms of the growth and development of S.breviflora. The rapid growth of the stem-base and the stem of the plant ocured within a month after the turngreen, later changed to the growth of leaves.
