Human embryonic lung cells (HEL-R66) are of monkey origin

Two cultures of cells designated HEL-R66, presumably of human origin, revealed monkey instead of human cell characteristics, including chromosomes, isoenzyme mobility pattern and species-specific cell membrane antigen.
