Nowe izolowane europejskie stanowisko Lloydia serotina (Liliaceae) w Karkonoszach (Sudety Zachodnie, Polska)

2013
Lloydia serotina (Liliaceae) is a circumboreal species of arctic-alpine distribution. In Europe, it occurs in Alps and Carpathians, and in one isolated stand in Snowdonia Mt. (Great Britain). In Poland, it was observed exclusively in the Tatra Mts. New locality of the species was found in 2002 year in the Karkonosze Mts (the Sudeten Mts, SW Poland). Very small, isolated population survived on basalt outcrop in the Maly Śniezny Kociol glacial circus. The species is associated with high mountain grassland and occurs there with other glacial relicts. Population consists of ca. 20 individuals. It has been monitored since 2002 and in this time it flowered only 3 times and not produced seeds. The species is not threatened in Polish Carpathian Mts, but is critically endangered of extinction in the Sudety Mts. kEy wordS: Lloydia serotina, endangered species, glacial relicts, Karkonosze Mts, Poland 1 M.
