Formation of wide bipolar beams with an almost rectangular cross section

The problems of calculation and experimental implementation of bipolar flows in connection with their applications to powerful devices with a plasma anode and thermo-emission or plasma cathode are considered. For the bipolar beam in the form of a fragment of a flow in a planar diode with an almost rectangular cross section, the forming electrodes are calculated. The flow in the inter-electrode space is described by solutions that correspond to the p-mode emission from the cathode and anode under the action of the ion bombardment.
