Creation of the national measurement standard of the units of average power and energy of laser radiation of the Republic of Belarus
2018
The article is concerned with the creation of the national measurement standard of units of CW laser radiation power and energy of pulsed laser radiation of the Republic of Belarus.Until recently, the maintenance, reproduction and transfer of the unit of average CW laser radiation power to working measurement instruments have been provided by the reference measurement standard of the average CW laser radiation power unit of the Republic of Belarus IE RB10–06, whose metrological capabilities do not meet the growing needs of manufacturers and consumers of modern laser technology. The article discusses the optical scheme, composition and operation algorithm of the measurement standard being created, as well as the uncertainty of reproduction of CW laser radiation powerunit using the reference measuring transducer PI‑15, which is a part of the measurement standard. The measurement standard being created should provide reproduction and maintenance in the spectral range from 0.2 μm to 10.6 μm of the average CW laser radiation power unit in the dynamic range from 10–9 W to 2 W with relative standard uncertainty less than 0.07 %, and pulse laser radiation energy unit in the range from 10–9 J to 1 J with relative standard uncertainty less than 0.5 %, as well as the transfer of the unit of average CW laser radiation power at wavelengths of 0.532; 0.808; 1.064 and 10.6 μm and the energy unit of pulse laser radiation at wavelengths of 0.532; 0.808; 1.064 μm.The results of the study of metrological characteristics of the measurement standard during reproduction of the average CW laser radiation powerunit are described, during which the accuracy of the reproducible average laser power, the conversion ratio of the electric current average power, the coefficient of substitution equivalence, as well as the effect on the accuracy of reproduction of the average laser power unit such factors as power level, environmental parameters, stability radiation sources, accuracy of the used measuring instruments have been evaluated. The obtained average value of the conversion ratio of the electric current average power is in the range of 5.10 ± 0.01 mV/W. The relative total standard uncertainty of reproduction of the average CW laser radiation powerunit using the reference measuring transducerPI‑15 does not exceed 0.024 %.
