EMU door solenoid valve is a very important component of the operation of the air pneumatically actuated doors. so it is a key element of passenger safety and operation when it failed that. Therefore, fault management of the electronics valve is to be carried out in a systematic and scientifically. Failure Mode Effects Analysis(FMEA) is defined the analysis method for predicting the effect on the whole mechanical components, such as machine parts caused the failure. This technique used to only new EMU Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation line 7 for removing possible hazards and failures in the design and production phase but except for old EMU of the line 5,6,7,8. In this paper, we propose to improve reliability for the EMU door solenoid valve in line 6 of Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation as a result from analysis of the big data of maintenance work in the FMEA process.
