Sedimentary characteristics of mid-permian Tiemulike formation and the distribution of the dark mudstone of Yining depression

2011
Using drilling, logging and 2-dimension seismic data, the distribution, thickness and sedimentary variation of Tiemulike formation were analyzed and semi-deep lake facies, turbidite fan facies and turbidite channel facies were identified. Logging-constrained inversion showed that the dark mudstone is mainly distributed in the area close to Huimingzhuang, Kanbei and Yi-2 well in the north part of Yining depression, and then in the north part of the line from Ning-3 well to Yican-1 well, along with the area around Ning-4 well. Using hydrocarbon-generating model, the upper limit of the hydrocarbon generation of Tiemulike formation was calculated to be 4.89×1011 kg and the hydrocarbon generation to be 1.19×1011 kg of 80% probability.
