UNIVERSAL BEHAVIOR OF BOSE-GLASS EXPONENTS IN 250 MeV Ag+17 ION IRRADIATED YBa2Cu3O7-δ MELT-TEXTURED SAMPLES

2000
Columnar defects along the c-axis in YBa2Cu3O7-δ melt-textured samples have been created by 250 MeV Ag+17 ion irradiation. Angle-dependent magnetoresistance measurements have been carried out to examine the Bose-glass theory. The Bose-glass temperature "TBG" has been found to be maximum along the direction of the columnar defects. The value of the critical angle, θcri, is found to be ~ 30°.
