2P-525 : Facile Construction of Carbon Nanotube-Based Sulfur Cathode for Advanced Lithium-Sulfur Batteries

Lithium-sulfur batteries have attracted great attention as a promising energy storage system because of advantageous properties (e.g., low cost and high capacity). Despite huge advancement during the past two decades, challenges such as cycle life and safety still remain for their wide application. Recently, various design concepts of sulfur cathodes have been demonstrated to improve the cycling stability of Li-S batteries. In this work, we present a new sandwiched sulfur cathode in which a pure sulfur layer is placed between two carbon nanotube films.
