The degree of success or failure with which you will deal with your many responsibilities probably will be as much due to what happens elsewhere in the country as to the specific policies of the American Council. Nonetheless, the ability of the Council to change with the times will be inevitably a litmus test of how America's colleges and universities can adapt to the future.
