The present invention relates to an injection method for an internal combustion engine operating in indirect injection, an amount (Mi) total fuel determined based on the mass of air admitted, which must be injected at least and an injector for a given engine cycle in a total window available for a maximum (Twmax_i) given as a function of engine speed, according to a given injection pressure, the fuel injection taking place in the intake duct air motor, the indirect injection method comprising a step prior to the injection of fuel, of judging whether the maximum of the total window available for indirect injection of the total fuel quantity to be injected is sufficiently long for dividing the latter into at least two quantities (mmaxdiv) divisional fuel injected successively indirectly by being separated by a time (tp) of non naked break l, and if so, the method comprising making at least two indirect divisional injection of the total fuel quantity to be injected, such that such indirect divisional injections reduce or eliminate the formation of a fuel liquid film on the walls may be achieved by the fuel.
