Investigation on Selection of Health Education Course of University Students

Objective To have knowledge about the status quo of health education course selection of university students and the teaching effect of health education.Method Demands for health education,content selection,understanding and impression on health education of 212 university students from baicheng normal university were surveyed and their awareness about hygienic knowledge before and after having health education course were compared.Results Those who thought that health education course was necessary accounted for 66.5% and who thought they gained from the course accounted for 93.7%;male and female students were most interested in metal health and they had the best understanding and deepest impression on psychosomatic diseases and psychological behavior therapy;awareness rate of hygienic knowledge of most university students before having health education course was lower than 10% which increased to 11.5%~91.8% after having the course and there were still four parts where the surveyed students' awareness rate was lower than 20%;awareness rate of students of different sexes are not the same.Conclusion The current situation of health education is worrisome and health education teaching can improve university students' understanding of hygienic knowledge.
