Morphology of the gastric mucosa in cardiac insufficiency

1980
: The data obtained suggest enhancement of morphologic changes in the mucous membrane of the stomach as the gravity and duration of heart failure increase. The patients suffering from left ventricular failure show gastritis of varying intensity. With total circulatory impairment gastritis acquires an atrophic character. Microcirculatory disorders play an important role in the genesis of changes in the mucous membrane of the stomach in patients with heart failure.
