Exploration of information of poisoning time distribution by circular distribution statistics

Objective To inquire into the information of time distribution that poisoning occurs for the further evidence of emergency rescue and providing prevention and treatment of diseases. Methods Circular distribution statistics method was used to analyse the poisoning cases from Jan.7th,2000 to Jan.3rd,2003 in a first 3A grade hospital of Hefei city. Results All 2775 poisoning cases were selected from its emergency registration during those three years, and the emergency time showed apparent central tendency between Jan.5th and Jan.13th each year and each day from 9:40 P.M to 10:08 P.M. Among them, alcohol, gas and food poisoning were monthly happened while during poisoning showed no obvious central tendency. Conclusion Inquiring into the rules of time distribution provides significant evidence to dispose emegency resources and formulate the pre-documents.
