Tumore lipomatoso atipico retroperitoneale: descrizione di un caso clinico

2001
The case is reported of a patient who underwent radical nephrectomy for suspected renal carcinoma. The histological examination showed atypical lipomatous tumour of the retroperitoneum. The main feature of an atypical lipomatous tumour, also known as well-differentiated liposarcoma, is its local invasiveness. Removal must therefore be as radical as possible. This often necessitates a nephrectomy when the tumour starts at the renal capsule.
