THz generation and detection using 1550-nm pulses from a fiber laser

Summary form only given.We have demonstrated THz emission and detection using a 1550-nm fiber laser. The phase-matching condition of DAST and GaAs were studied, as well as the electro-optical properties of a GaAs sensor for free space THz wave detection.
