Internal combustion engine with a heat storage device and method for controlling the same.

2002
An engine system comprising an internal combustion engine and heat accumulating device including the media system motor (10) heat storage for storing heat of a refrigerant, means (10, 11, 12, 22, C1, C2 ) supplying heat to supply accumulated in the means (10) heat accumulators engine (1) internal combustion, and means (32) heaters refrigerant coolant to automatically heat the refrigerant in the medium (10) heat accumulator for maintain the coolant temperature at or above a predetermined temperature, characterized in that the engine system further comprises means (22) determining fault to determine a fault of the storage heating devices (10, 11, 12, 22, C1, C2 , 32) based on a driving history of coolant heater when a predetermined time elapses after the engine stop time, or based on a measurement result obtained by means (28) measuring the temperature of the heat accumulator to measure coolant temperature in the heat accumulator (10) when a predetermined time elapses after the engine stop time.
