Responses of Soil Enzymes to Insecticides in Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Cultivated Black Soil

2012
We investigated the impact of two insecticides, endosulfan and profenofos on enzyme activities, such as cellulase and amylase in black soil, collected from groundnut (Arachis hypogaea. L) cultivated fields of Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, India, by conducting experiments in laboratory at different concentrations (10, 25, 50, 75, 100ppm) which are equivalent to field application rates (1.0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10.0 kg ha ). In our study we observed, cellulase and amylase activities were significantly enhanced at 2.5 and 1
