The problem of uniform dilatometric measurements in the USSR in the temperature range of 0–900‡C

1966
1. A method has been substantiated for testing relative dilatometers with normal specimens of substances which have a strictly-defined relationship, which does not change with time, between their linear expansion and temperature. 2. Monocrystalline quartz and corundum are suitable for producing standard samples for testing high-temperature relative dilatometers. These specimens should be certified by agencies of the Committee of Standards, Measures and Measuring Instruments attached to the Council of Ministers of the USSR. 3. All the required conditions exist at present for establishing in our country uniform dilatometric measurements in the range of 0–900‡C.
