Evaluation of a multiwire proportional chamber using a carbon fibre anode

Abstract The performance of a multiwire proportional chamber is studied where a carbon fibre plated with copper is used in the anode plane. The results are discussed in comparison with the case of a tungsten wire anode conventionally used.
