Arabian names and Arabic numerals

1984
In an earlier article ("The Name Puzzle," AP-S Newsletter, vol. 25, p. 30, Dec. 1983) the author pointed out the structural differences of some 'foreign' names as compared with conventional American or British usage. This note continues with a discussion of Arab names and Arabic numerals. It is noted that most Arab names have three parts: the first part is the person's given-name; the second part is his father's given-name; and the third part is his grandfather's given-name.
