Breeding of a New Soybean Cultivar Qiandou 8

Qiandou 8 was obtained after selecting for ten generalizations by artificial emasculation and pollination and pedigree breeding method using the materials 90-12 and 86-6,which were bred by Guizhou Institute of Oil Crops,as the female parent and male parent,and was approved by Guizhou Crops Variety Approval Committee in 2011.The average yield was 181.93 kg/667m2 in Guizhou regional tests in 2009 and 2010,very significantly higher than CK(6.81%).Qiandou 8 was of characteristics of high yield,stable yield and strong adaptability,and was suitable to be planted in Guizhou and other sites with similar ecotype.
