espanolEl objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar el efecto de la adicion de extractos etanolicos de Molle (Schinus longifolius, MO) o de Eucalipto (Eucalyptus grandis, EU) sobre la fermentacion ruminal in vitro. Se utilizo un arreglo factorial 3×6, combinando los efectos de inclusion de dos extractos (dosis 1000 mg/L) y un control sin extracto anadidos sobre seis concentrados proteicos (harina de soja, harina de girasol de 34 y 31% de Proteina Cruda, harina de canola, granos y solubles de destileria del maiz y harina de guar) utilizados como sustrato. Cada una de las combinaciones se incubo por triplicado en liquido ruminal. Se determino la produccion de gas acumulada a las 12 h (PG12) y el pH y la concentracion de nitrogeno amoniacal (N-NH3) del liquido a las 4 h de incubacion. El extracto de MO disminuyo la PG12 en las harinas de girasol y el extracto de EU en la harina de canola (P EnglishThe aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the addition of ethanol extracts of Molle (Schinus longifolius, MO) and Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus grandis, EU) on ruminal fermentation in vitro. We used a 3 × 6 factorial arrangement, combining the effects of inclusion two extracts (dose 1000 mg/mL) and control without extract added on six protein concentrates (soybean meal, sunflower meal 34 and 31% crude protein, canola meal, grains and corn distillers soluble and guar meal) used as substrate. Each of the combinations was incubated in triplicate in rumen fluid. We determined the cumulative gas production at 12 h (PG12) and the pH and ammonia nitrogen concentration (N-NH3) of the liquid at 4 h of incubation. Molle extract decreased the PG12 in sunflower meal and EU extract in canola meal. The pH decreased in two substrates with the addition of MO. Eucalyptus extract did not modify the pH. The N-NH3 concentration decreased with the addition of EU. The ethanol extract of Eucalyptus showed qualities as a modulator of ruminal fermentation, reducing the degradation of nitrogenous substances.
