Study of the reactive ability of vinyl ethers of glycols and aminoalcohols by the spin-trap method

The kinetics and mechanism of reactions of vinyl ether of glycols and monoethanolamine with various radicals was studied by the spin-trap technique. It was established that the absolute rate constants for addition of radicals, as determined by means of competitive reaction, change in the following order : cyclohexyloxycarboxylic > α-cyanoisopropyl > tert-butyl These radicals are attached only to the β-carbon atom of the double C=C bond of vinyl ether.
