Production of construction elements from clint

2013
FIELD: process engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of construction materials, particularly, heat-insulating, heat-insulating-structural and structural articles. Claimed process comprises the steps that follow. Clint composition is averaged by layer-by-layer tapering and primary processing for removal of coarse inclusions. Pore-forming additives, caustic soda and soda ash, are added and processed to get a homogeneous bulk. Pellets are formed, thermally treated and ground. Formworks are filed with the powder to be annealed at 680-850°C. Then, they are cooled, formworks are removed and produced bulged boards are cut to required sizes. Said clint represents diatomite, or tripoli powder, or box-form, or their mix at preset ratio in density of 0.4-1.0 g/cm 3 with the content of SiO 2 53.0-92.0%, amorphous silica (SiO 2 dissolved in 5% KOH) 9.0-76.0%, CaO 0.5-4.5%, MgO 0.1-2.3%. The pellets are heat treated at 110°C to residual moisture content of 10% for their grinding. After grinding of said pellets, the powder is classified to 0.1-1 mm and 1-2 mm and 2-3 mm fractions. Formworks are filled with powder of required grain size to allow the fabrication of articles with preset density and heat conductivity. Coarse and dust-like fractions are withdrawn for pellets grinding. Wastes of bulged board sawing are fed to production of construction mixes and/or to pellets grinding station. EFFECT: higher quality. 1 ex
