Avaliação das diferentes práticas de manejo na agregação do solo sob cultivo orgânico de hortaliças em Seropédica (RJ)

Organic agriculture prioritizes management systems that maintain the physical, chemical and biological quality of the soil. The no-tillage system, in addition to maintaining the vegetation cover and the non-soil rotation, stimulates the crop rotation and stands out in the conservation of this natural resource, being an alternative for the sustainable use of the land. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different management practices on soil aggregation under organic crop cultivation in Seropedica (RJ). Three soil management systems under organic production were evaluated: a) no-tillage, no herbicide use and with the use of a waste disposer (Triton); b) conventional management system with the use of the rotary hoe and; c) conventional management system with the use of a plowing and two harrows. The experimental design was a randomized block design, with four replications. The results showed that there was no significant statistical difference between the management systems in the soil aggregation at both depths evaluated. The entry of organic matter in the organic production of horticulture was done mainly by maintaining the straw at the soil surface and organic fertilization. The cultural residues of the production of olericolas usually have a low recalcitrance, presenting a high rate of decomposition, mainly under the conditions of study in sandy soils under tropical climate. It is necessary a greater time of monitoring to indicate the management system that preserves and / or improves the aggregation of the soil in the organic production of vegetables in Seropedica.
